Today's class seemed incredibly long.  However, there were some fascinating examples of the lesson.  Personally, I thought the most interesting part of today was the way colors work and how mixing them gives different colors.  The reason a shirt is blue for example, is because the shirt absorbs all other colors except for blue which it reflects.  In this picture, there are three separate shadows behind Mr. Blake.  Each of these shadows has its own color.  At first I didn't understand why there were three different shadows.  Now though, I realize that because there are three sources of light hitting Mr. Blake, the angle at which each light is hitting Mr. Blake causes a shadow for each source to appear.  I also thought it was fascinating how by using the color wheel, it is possible to tell what color each shadow is going to be.
