momentum
Here you can see the lab that we worked on for most of class. This lab had to do with momentum, mass, and velocity. Momentum was the topic for the day. I learned that momentum (p) equals mass multiplied by velocity. The total momentum of a system is the sum of all the momentum the system undergoes. I also learned that change in momentum equals force times change in time. This is also known as impulse. Likewise, force equals impulse over change in time. Momentum is a lot like mass. I learned that just like there is a law of conservation of mass in chemistry, there is a law of conservation of p in physics. This law says in a closed system, momentum of a system is always conserved.

Ahhhhhhhhhh-chooooooooooo! This lab required a lot of careful thinking... especially the analysis!
