I personally thought that Friday's class was one of the more interesting ones we have had so far. We launched rockets and determined their landing spots based on the angle we launched them at. We also had a lab practical where we predicted the spot that a marble rolled off a table would land. I have learned that even though the x and y axis are independent in problems like these, the problems are not incredibly different from the ones we were doing before. In contrast, problems that involve rockets being launched at an angle for example, bring into play different types of math. In order to determine our rockets horizontal distance, we had to use trigonometry to find the horizontal velocity. I think these new problems will make class much more interesting.

Definitely agree... Friday was a really interesting/fun class! Regarding our specific calculations, what do you think could've gone wrong? Why were our calculated distances so large?
ReplyDeleteThis is seriously the coolest picture I have ever seen. I agree, the activity we did on Friday was super fun. I want to do something like that again.
